Kauai, Hawaii Beach Guide-hotel

by Gary Allalouf

Kauai is one of the islands in Hawaii which has been called "Hawaii's Island Of Discovery". This is because Kauai is actually the oldest of the Hawaiian Islands. Many tourists choose to visit this island as it is continuously evolving and becoming more and more beautiful over the years.
Here are some of the beaches in Kauai.
1. Anahola Beach
This is lovely beach that offers a great place to swim throughout the year because of a protective reef offshore. It is a child-friendly beach that has a lot of shade for relaxation. The nearby reef is also great for snorkeling and amateur scuba diving. When going to Anahola beach, just make sure to be cautious of the occasional strong currents, wave breaks and high surf.
2. 'Anini Beach
Another beautiful beach in Kauai would be the 'Anini beach. This beach is considered as the one the safest along the northern shore of the island. It has a fringed reef through the whole length of the beach, making it the longest reef in Hawaii. On the bluff above, there have been many expensive houses built belonging to rich personalities. This beach is also known for windsurfing. 3. Donkey Beach
Although countless rocks are strewn about the shoreline, Donkey beach has a lot of trees which make it a very comfortable location. It offers seclusion for those who are planning to do a lot of relaxation and meditation. When going to Donkey beach, be cautious of strong currents and dangerous shore breaks.
4. Ha'ean Beach
Ha'ean beach boasts of a beautiful park and beach area although swimming is not recommended because of the absence of a reef to slow down waves. Surfing can also be done by experienced surfers because of the high surf. This beach also has strong currents, slippery rocks and sharp corals.
5. Hanalei Bay Beach
The Hanalei Bay is circled by a white sandy beach and with the surrounding mountains embracing the bay, it can easily be considered as one of the most beautiful sights in Hawaii. Many tourists go to this beach to surf and even play golf at some of the resorts and golf courses on the island.
If you would be visiting Kauai, you would also easily be able to find restaurants and shops with the hustle and bustle of various activities. Many vendors have set up shop along the highways and the by-ways selling flowers, fruits and even fish. Here is some other information about accommodations in Kauai.
On the western side of the beach in Kauai, you can see Kekaha, which is an old sugar camp house that has sat for years waiting for restoration. It was finally restored along with a historic 5-bedroom house as part of the Waimea Plantation Cottages.
If you would head to the eastern side of the beach to Kalaheo, there have been two houses set up that can be rented out by vacationers. Although both are quite far from any of the beaches, they offer a more affordable option for accommodations which are clean and comfortable. Guest also need not worry about having to have a minimum number of days to stay as well as any cleaning fees. They also offer a lot of perks such as a hot tub, beach gear, free tennis court usage, snorkeling equipment and boogie boards.
Going to the south, you can see the reconstruction of the Waiohai Hotel, which was damaged by the Hurricane Iniki back in 1992. It has been converted into timeshares. There are now 200 2-bedroom accommodations housed in nine buildings.
For the more upscale market, there are more than 20 units added at the Poipu Kai Resort. They offer air conditioning, walk-in showers and designer furnishings. They even have Corian countertops in their kitchens. Tourists have agreed that this place was a well-manicured resort that has both pool and beautiful ocean-front unit options.
A quiet setting located about one block from the ocean, Hideaway Love Villas have residential rentals that have hot tubs, hardwood floors and walk-in showers. For those who are looking for seclusion and peace, this would be the perfect place to be.
